About

Hi there!  I’m Doc Brown, daughter of a great God, homeschool mama to three boisterous boy blessings, and wife to a gracious Godly man.  My prayer is that I can come beside you in your homeschool journey and turn science and math fears into science and math cheers! Science and math at any level, especially high school, is one of the greatest revelation of God’s glory and he wants us to discover Him through His glorious world. Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal things but the glory of kings is to search things out.”  I am available to answer  any questions, any time, using any resource to help you find the answer you need.  Please contact me here!Mom 1

Fern Brown, Ph.D., has been a homeschool mom, with the complete support and dedication of her wonderful husband, since the birth of their three amazing boys: Speedy, age 10, Moose, age 9 and Red, age 7.

She has a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics from Saint Olaf College and a Masters and Ph.D. in Paper Science and Technology from IPST at Georgia Institute of Technology. In her studies she orchestrated extensive research projects involving inorganic chemistry, polymer chemistry, biology, physics, and material science; developed experimental design for multi-year projects relying heavily on statistics; and grew into a life long learner with exceptional research skills.

Dr. Brown has been a Director, Tutor or Mom with Classical Conversations since 2010. Each of their boys started with CC at the age of 4. As of 2016, Speedy, Moose and Dr. Brown are Memory Masters of Cycle 1. The Brown family will be part of the Lakewood, Colorado CC Community in the 2016-2017 school year.  Look for her posts on CC Connected under the name MomBrown.
